Green is more than a buzzword. At least to WECCO it is. When used in the context of building, green refers to those methods and technologies that take into consideration a proposed development?s impact on the environment it surrounds and, on a much larger scale, the world in which we all live. In 1998, the US Green Building Council created a guideline for green building in order to officially recognize qualified buildings as 'green'. On the most basic level, a green project addresses storm water, heat island effects, energy consumption and its residents' overall well-being. When it comes to green building, there are many different tactics that can be employed; however, the goal will always remain the same.
It’s not just green; it’s smart.
